Certified Cambria countertops in Las Vegas and Henderson

Calder is a certified Cambria fabricator based in Henderson, and we fabricate and install Cambria countertops across Las Vegas. Cambria only backs its warranty when a certified shop does the fabrication and installation. Calder is one of the few shops in the Las Vegas valley that qualifies.

The look

Bold veining you’d expect from marble

People pick Cambria when they want the countertop to be the focal point of the kitchen. Its best-known designs run bold veins across the full slab, the kind of movement you usually only see in quarried marble. Cambria is dense engineered quartz, though, so it never needs sealing and wipes clean.

It brightens a dark kitchen and grounds a light one. In both, a Cambria island tends to become the place everyone gathers.

Provenance

American-made, certified here

Cambria is American-made engineered quartz. It is quarried and manufactured in the United States instead of being imported as anonymous slab stock. Many of our clients like that, and the brand backs it with a warranty program it enforces strictly.

The last step happens here in the valley. Cambria requires a certified fabricator for its warranty to hold, and we are certified for both Cambria and Caesarstone. A slab that left a U.S. quarry is cut and installed by a shop the manufacturer has approved.

The layout

Planning the layout of a Cambria slab

With a bold pattern, the layout needs more care. A vein that runs into a wall or breaks awkwardly at a seam is the first thing you’ll notice every morning. Before anything goes on the saw, we map the pattern across every cut. We decide which part of the slab becomes the island, where the veining enters and leaves, and how it turns down a waterfall edge.

You approve that layout before fabrication begins, and the five-axis bridge saw cuts exactly what you approved. You can read more about how we work on our fabrication shop page.

Cambria offers polished and matte finishes across its range. Matte cuts down reflection and polished adds to it. Looking at real samples of each finish usually settles it within minutes.

Specifying Cambria

For designers and builders

Cambria appears often in designer specifications for custom homes across the valley, usually as the statement island. We fabricate to your drawings. Edge profiles, dimensions, cutouts, finishes and vein direction are called out and confirmed at layout. Because we’re a certified fabricator, the warranty holds for your client no matter who ends up living in the home. Visit our trade page to see how we work with designers and builders. If you’re still comparing Cambria with other surfaces, our materials hub sorts them by where they’ll be used instead of by brand name.

Good to know

Common Cambria questions

Is Calder a certified Cambria fabricator in Las Vegas?
Yes. Cambria certifies the shops allowed to fabricate and install its quartz, and Calder is a certified Cambria fabricator serving the Las Vegas valley.
Does certification keep my Cambria warranty intact?
Yes. Cambria’s warranty depends on certified fabrication and installation. A Cambria top cut and installed by our crew keeps the manufacturer’s coverage for its full term.
Cambria vs Caesarstone: which should I choose?
Cambria is the better fit when you want the counter to stand out, with large-format veining, deep movement and American-made slabs. Caesarstone suits a quieter, more uniform surface. We’re certified for both, so the warranty doesn’t need to factor into the design choice.
Can Cambria be used outdoors in the Las Vegas heat?
No. Like all engineered quartz, it belongs indoors, and desert sun dulls and fades it over time. For outdoor kitchens and BBQ surrounds we fabricate Dekton instead.
Can Calder match Cambria veining across seams and waterfall edges?
Yes. We plan the pattern direction at the layout stage, before the slab is cut, so the veins carry across seams and turn down a waterfall edge as the design calls for. You approve the layout before fabrication starts, whether you’re a homeowner or a designer specifying the project.
